Organising unloading at destination

Whether a transport goes smoothly is decided at destination: is the lifting equipment ready, is the set-down point clear, is somebody there? On request we organise unloading and agree it with the recipient.

What matters

Set-down point
We set down at an agreed point – in front of the hall, at the hall door or under the overhead crane. Moving it onto the foundation is not included.
Recipient on site
No unloading without a contact at destination. We need a name, contact details and a time window.
Lifting equipment at destination
If a forklift or crane is available, we check whether it is sufficient for weight and centre of gravity. Otherwise we organise suitable equipment.
Avoiding waiting times
A crane waiting for the vehicle or a vehicle waiting for the crane costs money. We align both to one time window.

Planning questions

We clarify these points before quoting – the earlier they are known, the more precise the plan.

  1. Where exactly should the machine be set down – outside, at the door or inside the hall?
  2. Which lifting equipment is available at destination, and what is its capacity?
  3. Who receives the machine, and at what times is that possible?
  4. Is access suitable for an articulated truck, and is there room for a mobile crane?
  5. Does the recipient need to be informed in advance about weight and dimensions?

What we need from you

  • Delivery address and contact
  • Preferred set-down point
  • Available lifting equipment with capacity
  • Time window for delivery

Preparation: You hand the machine over ready for transport – dismantling, later installation and commissioning are done by your team or the manufacturer's service.

What we do for you

What we organise

  • Transport planned around dimensions, weight and route – with the right vehicle and secure load
  • Loading, unloading and crane work organised alongside on request
  • One contact who coordinates dates with you and the people on site

Good to know

We unload at an accessible, level set-down point. Ideally, plan the route to the final position together with your installation team.

  4. 04

    Execution

Questions and answers: Organising unloading at destination

How far is the machine brought during unloading?

To the agreed set-down point, for example in front of or inside the hall under the crane. The further route via stairs or onto the foundation is best planned by your installation team.

Does someone need to be present at the recipient?

Yes. We do not unload without a contact at destination. We need a name, contact details and a time window in which handover is possible.

What happens if the recipient's crane is not sufficient?

We clarify that before quoting based on capacity, weight and centre of gravity. If the available equipment is not enough, we organise suitable lifting equipment on request.
