Organising loading – when there is no loading equipment on site
Not every collection site has an overhead crane or a forklift that can lift the machine safely. On request we organise the loading – matched to weight, centre of gravity and the conditions at the loading point.
What matters
- Weight and centre of gravity
- A forklift does not lift by rated load alone: load centre and fork length matter. That is why we ask for weight and design.
- Lifting points
- Crane eyes, transport bores or fork pockets are specified by the manufacturer. Nothing is lifted without known lifting points.
- Space at the loading point
- A mobile crane needs a set-up area and load-bearing ground. We clarify where it can stand.
- Agreed scope
- What we provide for loading is stated explicitly in the quote. The machine must be dismantled and secured by then.
Planning questions
We clarify these points before quoting – the earlier they are known, the more precise the plan.
- How heavy is the machine, and roughly where is its centre of gravity?
- Does the machine have crane eyes, transport bores or fork pockets?
- Is the machine inside the hall or already outside at the loading point?
- How far is it from the installation spot to the vehicle, and are there thresholds or slopes?
- Are there restrictions such as working hours, noise limits or hall height?
What we need from you
- Weight and dimensions
- Photos of the machine and its location
- Details of lifting points
- Site plan or description of the loading point
Preparation: You hand the machine over ready for transport – dismantling, later installation and commissioning are done by your team or the manufacturer's service.
What we do for you
What we organise
- Transport planned around dimensions, weight and route – with the right vehicle and secure load
- Loading, unloading and crane work organised alongside on request
- One contact who coordinates dates with you and the people on site
Good to know
Let us know early whether a forklift or crane is available on site. If neither is, we organise suitable loading equipment and list it in the quote.
How it works
- 01
Request
You send route, date and machine details using the form below – anything unknown can stay open.
- 02
Review
Based on weight, centre of gravity and loading point we select suitable equipment and clarify set-up areas and access.
- 03
Quote
You receive a quote with the agreed scope – on request including loading and crane organisation.
- 04
Execution
Loading with the agreed equipment on the collection date, followed by load securing and transport.
Questions and answers: Organising loading
How is loading organised?
If loading equipment and staff are available at the collection point, we use them. If not, we organise loading for you and state the scope explicitly in the quote.
What decides whether a forklift is enough?
Weight, load centre, whether forks can get under the machine and the route to the vehicle. A forklift with a suitable rated capacity is not enough if the machine's centre of gravity is far from the forks.
Who disconnects the machine before loading?
A qualified person from your company or the manufacturer. Loading only begins once the machine is disconnected from all utilities and secured.
