Crane services for machinery transport
When a forklift is no longer enough because the machine is too heavy, too tall or hard to get under, a crane is needed. On request we organise suitable crane equipment for loading, unloading or both.
What matters
- Outreach decides
- The further the load is from the crane, the less it can lift. That is why set-up area and distance to the vehicle count as much as weight.
- Set-up area
- A mobile crane rests on outriggers and needs load-bearing ground. Public road space may require a permit – we clarify this beforehand.
- Lifting gear
- Chains, slings or spreader beams depend on the machine's lifting points. The manufacturer's specifications take priority.
- Crane and vehicle in step
- Crane and transport vehicle have to be there at the same time. We plan both in one time window.
Planning questions
We clarify these points before quoting – the earlier they are known, the more precise the plan.
- How heavy is the machine, and how far is the set-down point from a possible crane position?
- Are there overhead lines, trees or roof overhangs within the slewing range?
- Will the crane stand on company premises or would it have to stand on a public road?
- Does the machine have crane eyes or a spreader beam from the manufacturer?
- Is the crane needed at one or at both sites?
What we need from you
- Weight, dimensions and lifting points
- Photos of the loading point and surroundings
- Sketch with a possible crane position
- Dates for loading and unloading
Preparation: You hand the machine over ready for transport – dismantling, later installation and commissioning are done by your team or the manufacturer's service.
What we do for you
What we organise
- Transport planned around dimensions, weight and route – with the right vehicle and secure load
- Loading, unloading and crane work organised alongside on request
- One contact who coordinates dates with you and the people on site
Good to know
Photos of the loading point, the weight and the lifting points help with crane planning. Lifts into buildings or onto foundations are best planned by your installation partner.
How it works
- 01
Request
You send route, date and machine details using the form below – anything unknown can stay open.
- 02
Review
From weight, outreach and surroundings we determine the crane required and clarify the set-up area and any permit for the position.
- 03
Quote
You receive a quote with the agreed scope – on request including loading and crane organisation.
- 04
Execution
The crane lifts the machine onto or off the vehicle on the agreed date; then securing, transport or handover.
Questions and answers: Crane services for machinery transport
Does a mobile crane on a public road need a permit?
Often yes, depending on location and set-up area. Before quoting we clarify whether the crane can stand on company premises or whether a permit is needed for its position.
Why does Logisticoo ask about the distance between crane and vehicle?
Because the possible load decreases with outreach. A machine that is easy to lift right next to the crane can exceed the crane's limit at a greater distance.
Does the crane also lift the machine into the hall?
The crane sets the machine down at the agreed point on the premises. Lifts into buildings or onto foundations are planned by your installation partner – we are happy to coordinate with them.
