Delivering new machines from manufacturer to customer
A new machine usually leaves the factory packed or on a transport frame, and the manufacturer's installation team is waiting at the customer's site. The transport has to fit exactly into that time window – that is the core of the plan.
What matters
- Packaging ex works
- Crate, film or transport frame determine dimensions, weight and lifting points. We plan with the dispatch department's data, not with the bare machine's.
- Installation date
- The manufacturer's installation team is often booked firmly. Delivery is planned for that date; installation and commissioning are done by the manufacturer, not by us.
- Unloading at the customer
- New halls do not always have a crane yet. Whether we organise unloading is clarified with you and the customer.
- Documents
- Delivery note, packing list and, for exports, export documents come from your dispatch department – we agree what has to travel with the goods.
Planning questions
We clarify these points before quoting – the earlier they are known, the more precise the plan.
- Is the machine shipped packed, on a frame or unpacked?
- Is there a fixed installation date at the customer that delivery has to meet?
- Who unloads at the customer, and where exactly should the machine be set down?
- Does the delivery consist of several packages, such as machine, control cabinet and accessories?
- Who is our contact in your dispatch department and at the customer?
What we need from you
- Shipping dimensions and weight per package
- Factory address and delivery address
- Installation date or latest delivery date
- Situation at the unloading point
Preparation: You hand the machine over ready for transport – dismantling, later installation and commissioning are done by your team or the manufacturer's service.

Questions and answers: New machines from manufacturer to customer
Does Logisticoo deliver in time for the manufacturer's installation date?
We plan delivery specifically towards the installation date and agree the time window with your dispatch department and the recipient. Transit times are only stated in the quote for the specific route.
Is the machine brought to its final position?
We set down at an agreed point, for example in front of the hall door or under the overhead crane. Moving it onto the foundation, levelling and commissioning are done by the manufacturer.
Which dimensions are used for planning – machine or packaging?
The shipping dimensions and weights per package from your dispatch department, i.e. including crate, film or transport frame. These values determine vehicle and loading equipment.
