Planning dates and time windows for machinery transport

A machinery transport has several dates that have to fit together: when the machine is ready, when it can be collected, by when it must be at destination – and when the crane, dismantling and installation teams are available. The earlier these dates are known, the better the plan.

What matters

Ready from
The earliest collection date is the day the machine is ready for transport – not the day of purchase.
Latest at destination
Installation dates, fairs or clearance deadlines set the latest date.
Weekends and holidays
In many countries, heavy trucks are banned from driving on Sundays and public holidays. This affects weekend dates.
Buffer
Crane, dismantling and receipt are separate appointments. A buffer between them avoids waiting time.

Planning questions

We clarify these points before quoting – the earlier they are known, the more precise the plan.

  1. From when is the machine ready for transport?
  2. By when must it be at destination at the latest?
  3. Is the date flexible or fixed?
  4. Are crane, dismantling and installation teams available on those dates?
  5. Are there times at destination when no delivery is possible?

Questions and answers: Planning dates and time windows

When will I find out the transit time for my transport?

With the quote: by then we know route, machine and date and give you a realistic schedule.

Which dates does Logisticoo need for planning?

When the machine is ready, by when it must be at destination, whether the date is flexible and when crane, dismantling and installation teams are available.

Do weekend driving bans affect my date?

They can. Many countries ban heavy trucks on Sundays and public holidays; we take that into account when planning.
