Machinery transport for the wood and furniture industry
From the craft workshop to the furniture plant: the wood sector ranges from a panel saw in a village joinery to a linked production line. What many sites have in common is access that was not designed for large vehicles.
What matters
- Craft workshops
- Joineries are often in mixed-use areas with narrow access. The choice of vehicle depends on it.
- Edge banders
- They are long and narrow, with glue pots and many units. Glue is removed before transport.
- Used machines
- Woodworking machines are frequently traded used, also between small businesses.
- Extraction
- Chip silos and extraction units are large but light – they are often underestimated.
Planning questions
We clarify these points before quoting – the earlier they are known, the more precise the plan.
- Which machines should be transported?
- What is access to the workshop like – width, bends, doors?
- Has glue been removed from the glue pots?
- Is there an extraction unit or chip silo?
- Is a forklift available on site?
What we need from you
- Machine type, dimensions and weight
- Photos of access
- Loading equipment on site
- Destination and preferred date
Preparation: You hand the machine over ready for transport – dismantling, later installation and commissioning are done by your team or the manufacturer's service.
What we do for you
What we organise
- Transport planned around dimensions, weight and route – with the right vehicle and secure load
- Loading, unloading and crane work organised alongside on request
- One contact who coordinates dates with you and the people on site
Good to know
Disconnect extraction pipes and electrical connections before collection. Then we load quickly and you can reconnect at destination fast.
How it works
- 01
Request
You send route, date and machine details using the form below – anything unknown can stay open.
- 02
Review
Using the photos we check access, choose the right vehicle and clarify loading.
- 03
Quote
You receive a quote with the agreed scope – on request including loading and crane organisation.
- 04
Execution
Collection with a suitable vehicle, loading as agreed, transport and handover.
Questions and answers: Wood and furniture industry
Is an edge bander difficult to transport?
It is long and narrow and has a glue pot. Glue is removed beforehand; length and units determine support and securing.
What about chip silos and extraction units?
They are large but light and often underestimated. Their dimensions belong in the request because they need a lot of load space.
Does Logisticoo also deliver to small craft workshops?
Yes. Access is what matters; based on photos we choose a suitable vehicle.
