Machines
Transporting panel saws
Horizontal panel saws are long and consist of several tables, a pressure beam and a programme fence. Vertical saws are tall and narrow. In both cases the machine is larger than its weight suggests.
What matters
- Many tables
- Air-cushion tables and supports are removed and travel stacked or individually.
- Pressure beam and programme fence
- These long components determine the transport length and are secured in transport position.
- Vertical saws
- Vertical panel saws are tall and prone to tipping. Lifting takes place at the manufacturer's points.
- Saw unit
- Saw blades are removed, the unit is fixed.
Planning questions
We clarify these points before quoting – the earlier they are known, the more precise the plan.
- Is it a horizontal or vertical saw?
- How long is the machine after removing the tables?
- How many tables and supports travel separately?
- Are saw blades removed and the unit secured?
- Is there a lift table feeder that travels along?
What we need from you
- Design, manufacturer and weight
- Transport length and height
- List of removed parts
- Loading situation on site
Preparation: You hand the machine over ready for transport – dismantling, later installation and commissioning are done by your team or the manufacturer's service.
What we do for you
What we organise
- Transport planned around dimensions, weight and route – with the right vehicle and secure load
- Loading, unloading and crane work organised alongside on request
- One contact who coordinates dates with you and the people on site
Good to know
Tables and saw unit secured? Then we plan saw and accessories so that everything arrives together and well protected.
How it works
- 01
Request
You send route, date and machine details using the form below – anything unknown can stay open.
- 02
Review
We check length and height against the vehicle and plan how the tables are stacked and secured.
- 03
Quote
You receive a quote with the agreed scope – on request including loading and crane organisation.
- 04
Execution
Loading base machine and tables, securing, transport and handover at destination.
Questions and answers: Panel saws
How are a panel saw's tables transported?
Removed and stacked or secured individually. The number of tables must be known beforehand because they take up load space.
Is a vertical panel saw harder to load?
It is tall and prone to tipping. It is lifted at the manufacturer's points and secured against tipping.
Are saw blades left in the machine?
Saw blades are removed before transport and the unit fixed in transport position – so the saw travels safely.
