Machinery transport for plastics processing
In plastics processing, machine and mould often travel separately: the injection moulding machine changes owner, the mould changes supplier. Both need their own plan – and both are heavier than they look.
What matters
- Machine and mould
- Injection moulding machines are long, moulds compact and very heavy. They are recorded and secured separately.
- Peripherals
- Dryers, temperature controllers, take-out robots and conveyors complete a system – and multiply the parts list.
- Mould transfer
- When suppliers change, moulds move to the new producer. The owner releases them, the condition is recorded.
- Extrusion
- Extrusion lines are very long and consist of many individual units.
Planning questions
We clarify these points before quoting – the earlier they are known, the more precise the plan.
- Is it about machines, moulds or both?
- How many moulds of what weight should travel?
- Which peripherals belong to the machine?
- Who owns the moulds and releases them?
- Is there an extrusion line with many individual parts?
What we need from you
- List of machines and moulds
- Weights and dimensions
- Owners' releases
- Loading situation at both sites
Preparation: You hand the machine over ready for transport – dismantling, later installation and commissioning are done by your team or the manufacturer's service.
What we do for you
What we organise
- Transport planned around dimensions, weight and route – with the right vehicle and secure load
- Loading, unloading and crane work organised alongside on request
- One contact who coordinates dates with you and the people on site
Good to know
For valuable moulds we agree additional insurance on request – simply ask us.
How it works
- 01
Request
You send route, date and machine details using the form below – anything unknown can stay open.
- 02
Review
We check the machine and mould list, split it across vehicles and clarify releases and loading equipment.
- 03
Quote
You receive a quote with the agreed scope – on request including loading and crane organisation.
- 04
Execution
Loading according to the list, securing the heavy moulds, transport and handover to the recipient.
Questions and answers: Plastics processing
Are machine and mould transported together?
They can travel on the same vehicle but are recorded and secured separately. The mould is a separate, very heavy package.
What needs clarifying when moving moulds to a new supplier?
The owner's release, number and weights of the moulds and whether the condition should be documented.
Does Logisticoo also transport extrusion lines?
Yes, provided the line is split into transportable units. Because of its length it usually consists of many individual parts that we plan from a list.
