Machines
Transporting injection moulding machines
Injection moulding machines are long, heavy and surrounded by peripherals: material dryers, temperature control units, take-out robots, conveyors. The machine itself is handed over with a secured clamping unit and a tight hydraulic system – the peripherals are planned as separate items.
What matters
- Length and weight
- Clamping unit and injection unit sit one behind the other. Larger machines are split into these two units for transport.
- Hydraulics
- Whether the oil stays in the machine or is drained is specified by the manufacturer. In any case, lines and tank must be tight.
- Screw and barrel
- Plasticising unit and nozzle are cleaned and secured, the hopper removed.
- Peripherals
- Take-out robots, dryers and temperature controllers are separate packages – often more sensitive than the machine itself.
Planning questions
We clarify these points before quoting – the earlier they are known, the more precise the plan.
- What clamping force, length and weight does the machine have?
- Will the machine be split into clamping and injection unit?
- Does the hydraulic oil stay in the system?
- Which peripherals travel along?
- Has the mould been removed, or should it travel as well?
What we need from you
- Manufacturer, type, clamping force and weight
- Dimensions of the units
- List of peripherals with dimensions
- Loading situation at both sites
Preparation: You hand the machine over ready for transport – dismantling, later installation and commissioning are done by your team or the manufacturer's service.
What we do for you
What we organise
- Transport planned around dimensions, weight and route – with the right vehicle and secure load
- Loading, unloading and crane work organised alongside on request
- One contact who coordinates dates with you and the people on site
Good to know
We are happy to transport the mould too – as a separate, secured package. Your service drains the oil and separates the units beforehand.
How it works
- 01
Request
You send route, date and machine details using the form below – anything unknown can stay open.
- 02
Review
We check whether the machine travels in one piece or split, assign the peripherals and choose the lifting equipment.
- 03
Quote
You receive a quote with the agreed scope – on request including loading and crane organisation.
- 04
Execution
Loading units and peripherals, securing, transport and handover; with an organised crane on request.
Questions and answers: Injection moulding machines
Is an injection moulding machine transported in one piece?
Smaller ones often are; larger ones are usually split into clamping and injection unit. Your service or the manufacturer decides; we plan with the units they prepare.
Can the mould be transported at the same time?
Yes, as a separate package with locked mould halves. It is removed beforehand by your service – not transported while fitted.
Should the peripherals be part of the request?
Definitely. Dryers, temperature controllers, take-out robots and conveyors multiply the parts list and are often more sensitive than the machine itself.
