Machinery transport for the food industry

In food plants, transports follow the rules of production: hygiene zones, cleaning cycles and shift plans decide when a machine may be moved and by which route it leaves the plant.

What matters

Hygiene zones
Vehicles and staff usually stay outside production areas. The plant brings the machine to the dock or hands it over there.
Dates outside production
Collections often take place at weekends or between shifts.
Cleanliness
Machines are handed over clean and should arrive that way. Covers protect them during transport.
Many designs
From kettles to conveyor lines – each machine has its own lifting points and centre of gravity.

Planning questions

We clarify these points before quoting – the earlier they are known, the more precise the plan.

  1. Where exactly will the machine be handed over – dock, yard or hall?
  2. At what times is a transport possible?
  3. Are there hygiene rules for vehicle or staff?
  4. How should the machine be covered?
  5. Who brings the machine from the production area to the handover point?

What we need from you

  • Machine type, dimensions and weight
  • Handover point and time window
  • Hygiene rules
  • Loading situation

Preparation: You hand the machine over ready for transport – dismantling, later installation and commissioning are done by your team or the manufacturer's service.

What we do for you

What we organise

  • Transport planned around dimensions, weight and route – with the right vehicle and secure load
  • Loading, unloading and crane work organised alongside on request
  • One contact who coordinates dates with you and the people on site

Good to know

Agree the handover from the hygiene area with us – we take over the machine at a defined point and protect it en route.

Questions and answers: Food industry

Do transport staff enter hygiene areas?

As a rule, no. The plant brings the machine to an agreed handover point, for example the loading dock.

Are weekend collections possible?

By arrangement, yes. Sunday and holiday driving bans for heavy trucks can affect time windows and routes; we take this into account.

Who cleans the machine before and after transport?

The operator. We protect the surfaces with covers during transport.
