Machines
Transporting textile machinery
Textile plants often have many identical machines side by side – looms, circular knitting machines, embroidery machines. Relocations or sales therefore usually involve series rather than single items.
What matters
- Series
- With many identical machines, precise details per type pay off. They show how many fit on one vehicle.
- Fine mechanics
- Needles, shafts, grippers and yarn guides are sensitive. They are secured according to the manufacturer.
- Accessories
- Warp beams, creels and cloth beams travel separately and need their own supports.
- Export
- Used textile machines frequently go to countries outside the EU. Export formalities then come on top.
Planning questions
We clarify these points before quoting – the earlier they are known, the more precise the plan.
- Which machines, and how many per type?
- How heavy and how large is one unit of each type?
- Which accessories travel along – warp beams, creels, spare parts?
- Is the transport within the EU or to a non-EU country?
- Who prepares and releases the machines?
What we need from you
- Machine list by type and quantity
- Dimensions and weight per type
- List of accessories
- Destination country and consignee
Preparation: You hand the machine over ready for transport – dismantling, later installation and commissioning are done by your team or the manufacturer's service.

Questions and answers: Textile machinery
How many textile machines fit on one vehicle?
That depends on type, dimensions and weight. For series of identical machines, accurate details per type are enough to plan the number per vehicle.
What applies to used textile machines going to non-EU countries?
Export formalities come on top. Who files the customs declaration and which documents travel along is clarified before the quote.
Do warp beams and creels travel with the machines?
Yes, as separate parts with their own supports. They belong in the list of accessories.
