Machines
Transporting control cabinets and machine controls
Control cabinets are tall, narrow and full of sensitive electronics. They travel upright, protected against shocks and moisture – often as a separate package alongside the machine they belong to.
What matters
- Upright
- Control cabinets are transported standing and secured against tipping. Crane eyes on the roof or a plinth make handling easier.
- Doors and internals
- Doors are locked; heavy internals such as transformers are secured according to the manufacturer.
- Moisture
- Condensation harms electronics. Covering and, where useful, desiccant help.
- Batteries and UPS
- Built-in UPS batteries may be relevant for transport. We ask about them.
Planning questions
We clarify these points before quoting – the earlier they are known, the more precise the plan.
- How many cabinets are there, and how tall and heavy is each?
- Do they have crane eyes or a plinth?
- Are heavy internals secured?
- Are there built-in batteries or a UPS?
- Do the cabinets belong to a machine that travels along?
What we need from you
- Number, dimensions and weights
- Lifting points or plinth
- Details of batteries
- Loading situation on site
Preparation: You hand the machine over ready for transport – dismantling, later installation and commissioning are done by your team or the manufacturer's service.
What we do for you
What we organise
- Transport planned around dimensions, weight and route – with the right vehicle and secure load
- Loading, unloading and crane work organised alongside on request
- One contact who coordinates dates with you and the people on site
Good to know
Control cabinets travel upright and secured against tipping. Disconnecting and reconnecting is done by your electrician.
How it works
- 01
Request
You send route, date and machine details using the form below – anything unknown can stay open.
- 02
Review
We check height and weight against the vehicle, securing against tipping and protection from moisture.
- 03
Quote
You receive a quote with the agreed scope – on request including loading and crane organisation.
- 04
Execution
Upright loading, securing against tipping and shocks, transport and handover.
Questions and answers: Control cabinets
May control cabinets be transported lying down?
As a rule, no. They travel upright and are secured against tipping because internals and electronics could otherwise be damaged.
Why does Logisticoo ask about batteries in the cabinet?
Built-in UPS batteries may be relevant for transport. That is why we need their type and extent in advance.
How is moisture kept away from the cabinet?
With covering and, on long routes, possibly desiccant. Condensation is one of the biggest risks for electronics.
