Machines
Transporting metal band and circular sawing machines
Metal sawing machines are usually easy to transport on their own – what takes more effort are the roller conveyors and feeders, often several metres long. For planning we therefore need the whole system, not just the saw.
What matters
- Lowering the saw frame
- Saw frame or unit is moved to its lowest position and secured. The band is released or removed.
- Roller conveyors
- Infeed and outfeed conveyors are long and light but bulky. They are secured separately.
- Coolant
- Tanks are drained so that nothing leaks.
- Material magazine
- Automatic feeders or bundle loaders are separate, partly heavy parts.
Planning questions
We clarify these points before quoting – the earlier they are known, the more precise the plan.
- Is it a band or circular saw, and how heavy is it?
- How long are the roller conveyors, and how many parts are there?
- Has the coolant tank been drained?
- Is there a material magazine or bundle loader?
- Where can the saw be lifted?
What we need from you
- Manufacturer, type and weight
- Dimensions of saw and conveyors
- List of additional parts
- Loading situation on site
Preparation: You hand the machine over ready for transport – dismantling, later installation and commissioning are done by your team or the manufacturer's service.
What we do for you
What we organise
- Transport planned around dimensions, weight and route – with the right vehicle and secure load
- Loading, unloading and crane work organised alongside on request
- One contact who coordinates dates with you and the people on site
Good to know
Roller conveyors removed and tanks emptied – this way we load saw and peripherals quickly and cleanly.
How it works
- 01
Request
You send route, date and machine details using the form below – anything unknown can stay open.
- 02
Review
We check the system as a whole, assign long conveyors to the load bed and clarify the lifting points.
- 03
Quote
You receive a quote with the agreed scope – on request including loading and crane organisation.
- 04
Execution
Loading saw and additional parts, securing, transport and handover at destination.
Questions and answers: Band and circular sawing machines
Why does Logisticoo ask about the roller conveyors?
Because they are often several metres long and need more load space than the saw itself. Only with them is the system fully planned.
Does the saw band have to be removed?
It is released or removed, and the saw frame moved to its lowest position and secured.
Is the coolant drained beforehand?
Yes, the tanks are emptied so that nothing leaks en route.
