Machines
Transporting tube bending machines
Tube bending machines have a long bed for the mandrel rod and a compact, heavy bending head. For transport, tools are removed, bending head and carriage secured and additional equipment separated.
What matters
- Long bed
- The mandrel rod determines the length. It is secured or removed so that it does not oscillate.
- Heavy bending head
- The bending head concentrates weight at one end. This affects lifting points and load distribution.
- Tools
- Bend, clamp and pressure dies are often expensive and are packed separately.
- Peripherals
- Feeders, magazines and safety fences are separate parts.
Planning questions
We clarify these points before quoting – the earlier they are known, the more precise the plan.
- How long is the machine including the mandrel rod?
- Are bending head and carriage secured in transport position?
- Will the tools be packed separately?
- Which additional equipment belongs to it?
- Where can the machine be lifted?
What we need from you
- Manufacturer, type and weight
- Dimensions including mandrel rod
- List of additional equipment
- Loading situation on site
Preparation: You hand the machine over ready for transport – dismantling, later installation and commissioning are done by your team or the manufacturer's service.
What we do for you
What we organise
- Transport planned around dimensions, weight and route – with the right vehicle and secure load
- Loading, unloading and crane work organised alongside on request
- One contact who coordinates dates with you and the people on site
Good to know
With the mandrel bar removed and the bending head secured, we transport the machine safely and without strain on the mechanics.
How it works
- 01
Request
You send route, date and machine details using the form below – anything unknown can stay open.
- 02
Review
We check length and weight distribution, lifting points and the packaging of the tools.
- 03
Quote
You receive a quote with the agreed scope – on request including loading and crane organisation.
- 04
Execution
Loading with regard to the heavy bending head, securing, transport and handover of all parts.
Questions and answers: Tube bending machines
Does the mandrel rod have to be removed for transport?
It is removed or secured so that it does not oscillate. Otherwise its length determines the machine's overall length on the vehicle.
Why is the bending head important for planning?
It concentrates a lot of weight at one end. Lifting points and load distribution are based on it.
Are the bending tools transported as well?
Gladly, but packed separately. Bend, clamp and pressure dies are often expensive and sensitive.
