Machines
Transporting folding machines
Folding machines are long and comparatively narrow. Upper beam and folding beam must be fixed, gauges and control panel secured or removed. What matters most is a load bed that safely supports the full length.
What matters
- Length
- The working length determines the transport length. Long machines need continuous support without sagging.
- Fixing the beams
- Upper beam and folding beam are moved to transport position and mechanically secured.
- Gauge system
- Back gauge and supports protrude far and are usually removed.
- Control panel
- Swivelling control panels are folded in or packed separately.
Planning questions
We clarify these points before quoting – the earlier they are known, the more precise the plan.
- What working length and weight does the machine have?
- Are upper and folding beams secured?
- Will gauges and supports be removed?
- Where are the lifting or forklift points?
- Does the control panel travel on the machine or separately?
What we need from you
- Manufacturer, type and weight
- Transport length, width and height
- Removed parts
- Loading situation at both sites
Preparation: You hand the machine over ready for transport – dismantling, later installation and commissioning are done by your team or the manufacturer's service.
What we do for you
What we organise
- Transport planned around dimensions, weight and route – with the right vehicle and secure load
- Loading, unloading and crane work organised alongside on request
- One contact who coordinates dates with you and the people on site
Good to know
Remove the stops and fix the beams – then the machine is ready for safe loading.
How it works
- 01
Request
You send route, date and machine details using the form below – anything unknown can stay open.
- 02
Review
We check the length against the load bed, the support points and the securing of the beams.
- 03
Quote
You receive a quote with the agreed scope – on request including loading and crane organisation.
- 04
Execution
Loading with continuous support, securing, transport and handover at destination.
Questions and answers: Folding machines
Why does a folding machine need continuous support?
It is long and comparatively narrow. Without continuous support it could sag or be overloaded at a few points.
Are gauges and supports removed?
Usually yes, because they protrude far. They travel as separate parts and belong in the parts list.
Who fixes the upper and folding beams?
Your service team before collection: the beams are moved to transport position and mechanically secured.
