Machinery transport to the Middle East
For destinations such as the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman or Jordan, a machinery transport is always an export – and rarely a pure road route. Sea or combined routes, packaging and the destination country's import rules shape the plan.
What matters
- No pure land route
- We do not assume a road route for the Middle East. Sea or combined routes are checked per request.
- Export and import
- Export declaration in the EU, import in the destination country – with its own rules that the consignee clarifies with the authorities.
- Packaging
- On sea routes, corrosion protection, packaging and rules for wooden packaging are particularly important.
- Evidence in the destination country
- Some destination countries require conformity or registration evidence before shipment. The consignee clarifies this.
Planning questions
We clarify these points before quoting – the earlier they are known, the more precise the plan.
- Which country and location is the machine going to?
- Who is the importer, and do they know the import rules for the machine?
- Is the machine packed for a sea route, or should it be packed?
- Which delivery term has been agreed?
What we need from you
- Destination country, location and consignee
- Delivery term
- Dimensions and weight including packaging
- Commercial invoice and packing list
Preparation: You hand the machine over ready for transport – dismantling, later installation and commissioning are done by your team or the manufacturer's service.

Questions and answers: Middle East
Is a machine for the Gulf states transported by truck?
We do not assume a pure road route. For the Middle East, sea or combined routes come into question, which we check per request.
Which Middle East countries can be requested?
The form lists, among others, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman and Jordan; further destinations via “other destination”. The selection is a feasibility request.
Who clarifies the import rules in the destination country?
The consignee or importer with the destination country's authorities. We plan the transport using the details that follow from this.
