Transporting welding systems and robotic welding cells

Automated welding systems consist of robot or gantry, positioner, power source, wire feeder, extraction and protective walls. For transport, each component is recorded individually – and gas cylinders always stay out.

What matters

Gas cylinders
Shielding gas cylinders are removed before transport and do not travel with the system.
Positioner
Turn-tilt tables and rotators are heavy and have an unusual centre of gravity.
Cable packages
Hose packages and torches are removed, coiled and packed protected.
Protective walls
Cell walls and welding curtains are bulky and secured as separate items.

Planning questions

We clarify these points before quoting – the earlier they are known, the more precise the plan.

  1. Which components does the system consist of?
  2. Have the gas cylinders been removed?
  3. How heavy is the positioner, and where can it be lifted?
  4. Will the cell walls be dismantled?
  5. Does an extraction unit travel along?

What we need from you

  • Component list with dimensions and weights
  • Photos of the system
  • Confirmation: no gas cylinders
  • Loading situation on site

Preparation: You hand the machine over ready for transport – dismantling, later installation and commissioning are done by your team or the manufacturer's service.

What we do for you

What we organise

  • Transport planned around dimensions, weight and route – with the right vehicle and secure load
  • Loading, unloading and crane work organised alongside on request
  • One contact who coordinates dates with you and the people on site

Good to know

Gas cylinders do not belong in the machine transport – plan them separately. We transport the cell in the assemblies your team prepares.

How it works

  1. 01

    Request

You send route, date and machine details using the form below – anything unknown can stay open.

  2. 02

    Review

We check the component list, the positioner's lifting points and how protective walls are secured.

  3. 03

    Quote

You receive a quote with the agreed scope – on request including loading and crane organisation.

  4. 04

    Execution

Loading the components, securing, transport and handover at destination.

Questions and answers: Welding systems

Are gas cylinders transported with the welding system?

Shielding gas cylinders are removed before collection; the system travels without cylinders. This keeps the transport simple and safe.

Why is the positioner a separate planning item?

Turn-tilt tables are heavy and have an unusual centre of gravity. Their lifting points have to be known.

How are protective walls transported?

Dismantled and secured as separate, bulky parts. They belong in the parts list with dimensions.

About the machine

As precise as known – manufacturer and model help but are not required.

Machine dimensions (L × W × H)

Comma or point as decimal separator, e.g. 2.35 m.

Weight
Is the machine ready for transport?

Ready for transport means: dismantled, secured and prepared for loading. We do not carry out dismantling, installation or commissioning.
