Transporting waterjet cutting machines
With a waterjet machine, the largest part is the tank with the cutting table – and it has to be empty, desludged and dry before transport. High-pressure pump and gantry are planned separately.
What matters
- Empty tank
- Water and abrasive sludge are removed completely. A filled or sludged tank is much heavier than stated.
- High-pressure pump
- The pump is a separate, heavy unit with sensitive high-pressure lines.
- Gantry and cutting head
- The gantry is secured, the cutting head protected or removed.
- Abrasive system
- Abrasive hopper and dosing system are emptied and packed separately.
Planning questions
We clarify these points before quoting – the earlier they are known, the more precise the plan.
- Is the tank empty, cleaned and dry?
- How large and heavy are tank, gantry and pump individually?
- Will the gantry be separated from the tank?
- Is the abrasive hopper empty?
- Where can the tank be lifted?
What we need from you
- Parts list with dimensions and weights
- Confirmation: tank empty and dry
- Manufacturer and type
- Loading situation on site
Preparation: You hand the machine over ready for transport – dismantling, later installation and commissioning are done by your team or the manufacturer's service.
What we do for you
What we organise
- Transport planned around dimensions, weight and route – with the right vehicle and secure load
- Loading, unloading and crane work organised alongside on request
- One contact who coordinates dates with you and the people on site
Good to know
Emptied and desludged, the system is much lighter and cleaner to load – that saves time on collection day.
How it works
- 01
Request
You send route, date and machine details using the form below – anything unknown can stay open.
- 02
Review
We check the parts list, the width of the tank and the lifting points and ask for confirmation that the tank is empty.
- 03
Quote
You receive a quote with the agreed scope – on request including loading and crane organisation.
- 04
Execution
Loading tank, gantry and pump, securing, transport and handover at destination.
Questions and answers: Waterjet cutting machines
Why does the tank have to be completely empty?
Water and abrasive sludge make the tank many times heavier than stated. With residues, weight and load securing are no longer right.
Does the high-pressure pump travel separately?
Yes, as a separate, heavy unit with sensitive high-pressure lines that are protected.
Who disposes of the abrasive sludge?
The operator before collection. We ask for confirmation that the tank is empty and dry.
