Transporting laser cutting machines

A laser cutting machine is a system of several components: machine frame with gantry, laser source, chiller, pallet changer and extraction. For transport, every component counts – as does protecting the sensitive optics.

What matters

Component list
Frame, shuttle table, laser source, chiller, filter and control cabinet have their own dimensions and weights. Only the list shows the vehicles needed.
Optics and cutting head
Cutting head and beam guidance are secured or removed according to the manufacturer. They are the most sensitive parts of the system.
Large frame
The machine frame is often wide. Whether it exceeds the usual vehicle width is checked before quoting.
Cooling water
Cooling circuits are drained so that nothing leaks or freezes in cold weather.

Planning questions

We clarify these points before quoting – the earlier they are known, the more precise the plan.

  1. Which components does the system consist of, and what are their dimensions?
  2. Is the cutting head secured or removed?
  3. Have the cooling circuits been drained?
  4. How wide is the machine frame in transport position?
  5. Do shuttle table and extraction travel along?

What we need from you

  • Component list with dimensions and weights
  • Manufacturer and type
  • Confirmation regarding cooling water and optics
  • Loading situation on site

Preparation: You hand the machine over ready for transport – dismantling, later installation and commissioning are done by your team or the manufacturer's service.

What we do for you

What we organise

  • Transport planned around dimensions, weight and route – with the right vehicle and secure load
  • Loading, unloading and crane work organised alongside on request
  • One contact who coordinates dates with you and the people on site

Good to know

Laser source, chiller and shuttle table travel as separate packages. A short component list helps us choose the vehicle.

How it works

  1. 01

    Request

You send route, date and machine details using the form below – anything unknown can stay open.

  2. 02

    Review

We assign the components to vehicles and check the frame width and the protection of sensitive parts.

  3. 03

    Quote

You receive a quote with the agreed scope – on request including loading and crane organisation.

  4. 04

    Execution

Loading the components in an agreed order, securing, transport and handover at destination.

Questions and answers: Laser cutting machines

Which parts does a laser cutting machine consist of in transport?

Typically machine frame with gantry, shuttle table, laser source, chiller, filter/extraction and control cabinet. Each part has its own dimensions and weights.

Who secures cutting head and optics?

The manufacturer or your service according to the manufacturer's instructions. Cutting head and beam guidance are the most sensitive parts and are secured or removed before collection.

Is the machine frame wider than a normal vehicle?

It happens. We check the frame width before quoting; if it exceeds usual dimensions, vehicle and plan change.
