Machinery transport to and from Italy

Italy is an EU member and an important market for machine tools – new and used. The central planning question is crossing the Alps: via Austria the transport stays within the EU, via Switzerland a transit procedure is added.

What matters

Intra-EU transport
No export or import declaration between Germany and Italy.
Crossing the Alps
The route via Austria, Switzerland or France is chosen per order – depending on weight, dimensions and schedule.
Driving restrictions
On alpine corridors and in Italy itself, time-based driving restrictions for trucks affect the schedule.
Industrial areas
Many destinations are in northern Italy; access and receiving hours are clarified with the recipient.

Planning questions

We clarify these points before quoting – the earlier they are known, the more precise the plan.

  1. Where in Italy is the destination?
  2. Are there route constraints, for example due to weight or dimensions?
  3. Who is the contact on site?
  4. Is lifting equipment available at destination?

What we need from you

  • Destination address
  • Dimensions and weight
  • Contact and language
  • Date

Preparation: You hand the machine over ready for transport – dismantling, later installation and commissioning are done by your team or the manufacturer's service.

What we do for you

What we organise

  • Transport planned around dimensions, weight and route – with the right vehicle and secure load
  • Loading, unloading and crane work organised alongside on request
  • One contact who coordinates dates with you and the people on site

Good to know

Which Alpine route fits best depends on season, traffic and driving restrictions – we choose it for your machine and state the schedule in the quote.

How it works

  1. 01

    Request

You send route, date and machine details using the form below – anything unknown can stay open.

  2. 02

    Review

We choose the alpine route by weight, dimensions and schedule and, for transit through Switzerland, clarify the formalities.

  3. 03

    Quote

You receive a quote with the agreed scope – on request including loading and crane organisation.

  4. 04

    Execution

Transport on the checked route and handover at the agreed set-down point.

Questions and answers: Italy

Does a machinery transport to Italy need customs papers?

Not on a route via Austria or France, because the transport stays within the EU. If the route passes through Switzerland, a transit procedure is required.

Which route does a machinery transport to Italy take?

We decide per order – depending on weight, dimensions, schedule and route-specific driving restrictions.

Does Logisticoo also transport machines from Italy to Germany?

Yes, planning works in both directions using the same criteria.
